Which energy generation or conservation initiative yields a superior result? The financial benefit of equipment retrofit or replacement with an e-Traction® powered vehicle is independent of the environmental benefit. In the foreseeable future regulations undoubtedly will force transport operators to meet much more stringent environmental requirements. Some day soon, certain energy usage applications may become only financially and/or ecologically viable by utilizing one or more of the e-Traction® products. Conservation invariably yields the quickest, cheapest and also enduring solution. “Return on Investment” calculations on reduced environmental impact are much more subject to interpretation than the operational cost savings. For affected communities, however, the reduced air and noise pollution may be worth almost any effort. When operating within a limited budget an all encompassing and integrated policy balancing the impact and cost of the current and future energy priorities is of vital importance. We have reviewed a number of popular initiatives and have compared their cost relative to the energy produced or saved (see: Energy Efficiency). We have also tried to quantify the considerable air- and noise pollution impact of the e-Traction® System (see: air pollution and/or noise poise pollution) |
